Conclusion of the Training Workshop on "The Fundamentals of Digital Safety and Digital Security".

The Center for Peace and Climate Studies (CPCS) concluded on Thursday, April 16, 2026, a training workshop on the Fundamentals of Digital Safety and Digital Security for (15) young women leaders in Taiz Governorate.
The workshop - which lasted for (3) days - aimed to empower the participants to deal with digital tools, and to equip them with essential practical knowledge and skills about digital safety and digital security that help them protect accounts, devices, and personal and professional data, and to consciously deal with common digital risks.
At the end of the workshop, the participants acquired knowledge and skills about: basics of digital safety and account protection, identifying threats and recognizing phishing messages, reviewing privacy settings on social media, how to protect devices and respond to technical risks, understanding hidden data risks, safe behavior when exposed to digital extortion, data protection and responding to digital emergencies, preparing regular backups, avoiding risks of public networks and safe browsing, and preparing a sustainable digital safety plan.
This training workshop came as part of the
project: "Advocacy - Enhancing Efforts to Protect Women Leaders in Taiz
Governorate," which CPCS implements to respond to the alarming escalation
in targeting women leaders in Taiz Governorate, manifested in the assassination
incident of the Director of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund - Mrs. Eftehan Almashhari in September 2025.
