Opportunity to join and participate in the "Public Policy Paper Preparation Skills" program in Taiz Governorate.
As part of the "Policy Lab" project, the Center for Peace and Climate Studies (CPCS), in partnership with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung - FES Yemen, announces the opening of registration to participate in the "Public Policy Paper Preparation Skills" program in Taiz Governorate. The program aims to build the capacities and empower youth and women to analyze various public issues and challenges (developmental, service-related, environmental, etc.) in the governorate, and to draft impactful policy papers that contribute to addressing them.
The project spans (4 - 6) weeks and includes an intensive training program on "Public Policy Paper Preparation Skills" for 3 days, with (8) training hours per day (from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM). This will be followed by the production and publication of 6 - 12 policy papers. To learn more about the project, please click here.

📍 Taiz City - Taiz Governorate.
- ⏰ Last date for registration: Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM.Target group: Youth and women from Taiz Governorate (city and rural districts), aged between 18 and 35 years, from diverse professional and academic backgrounds.Admission requirements for the training program:1. The applicant must be within the age group (18-35) years.2. The applicant must reside in Taiz City during the project period to be able to attend the training program and participate in subsequent activities. (Note: No accommodation allowance is available for applicants from rural districts.)3. The applicant must hold at least a bachelor's degree (undergraduate students and graduates are preferred to ensure research and writing ability), or be a final-year student in a related field (political science, public administration, law, economics, sociology, media, or any relevant major).4. Commitment to attend all program sessions and accompanying/subsequent activities of the training program, by submitting a written pledge (through this form) to be fully available to attend all days of the intensive training program (3 days, at a rate of 8 hours/day - a total of 24 training hours), commitment to attend guidance sessions, and to allocate sufficient time for research and preparation of the policy paper during the project period (within 30 days immediately after the end of the training program).5. Full ability and readiness to work within a duo or group research team to produce a policy paper (since the project aims to produce 6 - 12 papers), and active participation in discussions and group activities.6. The applicant must not have participated in intensive and similar training programs in the field of "preparing public policy papers" during the past two years, to give new faces an opportunity.7. The applicant must have knowledge and interest in public issues (political, media, societal, environmental, etc.) in Taiz Governorate.9. - - You will not be left alone after the training; you will go through intensive individual and group mentoring sessions with a consultant who will help you step by step to develop your idea until it becomes a complete paper.
- - Produce a tangible research product, and we will publish a policy paper bearing your name and distribute it digitally, which will be a significant leap in your professional and intellectual journey.
- - You will receive an accredited certificate from CPCS and FES Yemen if you complete all stages of the project.
